GMC Youth Football & Baltimore City Children

For over 20 years Anderson Automotive, in conjunction with The Kiefer Foundation, has sponsored a holiday party to benefit 100 disabled Baltimore City school children. Every year just before Christmas Anderson clears out the showroom floor of cars to make room for a holiday celebration. The Foundation and Anderson arrange for the transportation of approximately 100 Baltimore City children who have special needs to come to the dealership for a special holiday party in their honor. Santa is there with gifts, and there is always a fun sing-a-long as well as other entertainment. It's a great opportunity for these kids to celebrate the holiday season. Here is a link for a video of a holiday party: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B7FjsBjqXE.

GMC Youth Football. Every year for the past 5 years, Anderson has sponsored the local COCKEYSVILLE Eagles Youth Football league. Lately we have partnered with GMC to provide gear for the team and coaches (water bottles, yard markers, end-zone markers, clipboards, etc.) along with a monetary donation. The league also gets to sell raffle tickets to win a new GMC Terrain and 20 gas grills. The league gets to keep all of the raffle ticket proceeds, and use our donation money to offset the considerable expense of operations.

RED CROSS PARTNERS WITH Buick-GMC OF Maryland CELEBRATION OF “MARCH IS RED CROSS MONTH”

With a sponsorship from Buick GMC Dealers of Maryland, the Red Cross kicks off a month-long celebration marking the many services provided by the humanitarian organization in the community. All five automobile dealerships in the Central Maryland area, as well as Cecil County, are participating in the celebration, proclaimed as “March—Red Cross Month” by every U.S. President for nearly 100 years.

On Saturday morning, March 5, Buick GMC employees will join hundreds of other Red Cross supporters in forming a gigantic human Red Cross in Baltimore. Volunteers will wear red shirts and red Buick GMC automobiles will form the center-piece of human Red Cross in this festival event.

Throughout the month the auto dealerships will honor the American Red Cross mission of compassion by recognizing employees for their good works in the community. Dealerships will host Red Cross blood drives and will participate in the annual Hometown Heroes Award Celebration on March 31 at Martins West.

“Buick GMC Dealers of Maryland are great partners for the Red Cross,” said Red Cross of Central Maryland Executive Director Frank Miller. “By helping us raise funds, recruit volunteers and blood donors, they enable us to carry out our mission of preventing, preparing for and responding to disasters.”

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization—not a government agency—and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission. For more information, please visit www.redcross-cmd.org.

Friends of the Red Cross gather to say Thank You to our supporters...and form the Human Red Cross of Central Maryland.

Members of Delta Sigma Phi from Towson University pile into the back of a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab after volunteering at the 'Human' Red Cross for the Red Cross Month Celebration in Baltimore, Maryland. Great Event! Thanks for getting up so early on a Saturday to help out with this event.

COCKEYSVILLE Public Library, Boy Scouts & More!

Anderson is not a new automotive name in the Baltimore area but Anderson Buick GMC is relatively new to COCKEYSVILLE and Hunt Valley. Just like at our downtown location where we have been for over 100 years, we realize the importance of being a partner with the community surrounding our dealership.

That's why we have gotten involved with some local organizations, like the COCKEYSVILLE branch of the Public Library where we made a donation to help with some renovations. Anderson has also teamed up with a local group of Boy Scouts, Troop 1908, who were a huge help to us at our latest owner event.

Our downtown location has recently made news with our Star Reader Program that encourages children at two area elementary schools to read.

COCKEYSVILLE Eagles Youth Football League

Anderson Buick GMC of Hunt Valley is proud to be sponsoring the COCKEYSVILLE Eagles Youth Football League for the third straight year through the Buick-GMC Youth Football Program. The Buick-GMC Youth Football program is a grassroots, community outreach program through which programs like:

COCKEYSVILLE Football, receive FREE equipment and monetary donations.

Anderson and the local Buick-GMC dealer group has made a monetary donation to the league, furnished watercoolers, equipment bags, coaches clipboards, t-shirts and we donated a new car for use as a raffle prize!
